Sorry to be a pain. Now looking for story where Blair is dressed as the New Year baby at a police party. Then is hit by a drunk driver while driving Jim's truck.

The first story is Blair telling Jim how when he was a child a male friend of Naomi's took him on a carnival ride and undid the safety belt. That is the reason he is afraid of heights. The second is the sequel where Jim meets this jerk and takes him up in an airplane.

I'm looking for a specific story (stories) which took place in canon time. It was revealed that Blair was abused as a kid by a step-father. Jim found out and in a flashback/dream realized that he (Jim) had met Blair when they were both kids. I think it was a First Time, Jim/Blair story. I know that there was someone after Jim and or Blair, to kill them. I think that somewhere in the fic Jim has taken an injured Blair to his bed upstairs where he can protect him AND covered the railing with Kevlar vests to keep bullets out, but that's it.

Blair goes to lunch with a professor friend, possibly Eli Stoddard, at the faculty club or some men's club. He sees Jim with a bunch of other guys there, and realizes that he is gay.
